Loving-kindness

Loving-kindness....

Sounds like something we should all have.  Although it seems like something that should be innate, believe it or not, the aspect can be and very well should be practiced.  When I did the exercise that coaches through the consciousness of loving-kindness, I struggled to stay with it.  It was easier for me to abound in loving-kindness of a loved one than it was to interrelate the whole world.  I'm glad that I was able to partake of this exercise because as we all know, a caregiver can become worn and our skin can sometimes get a little thick.  The exercise brought me back to the caring person I normally am.  I believe this is Caregivers' month so I hope that any of you who are in a position of caregiving, can become rejuvenated this month and give yourself some peace and relaxation.

Now, let's all do a little mental workout some time.  Do some meditating and practice some mind techniques or some imagery to keep the mind sharp.

Guess What....it's possible.  Ah hah!

  1. Hi Carla,
innate you think you are right but unfortunately the fast-paced of society or maybe even slow if you're in Georgia certain places may be in a suburbia area you may have a break from streetcars streetlights, partying on weekends or just someone outside yelling. I do agree that the exercise did reach down and give me some type of inner peace and brought me to him all, states also state that I am in when something has happened to someone and I'm reminded of just how precious life is. So as the caregiver I deftly look for those traits when looking for someone to watch my kids. I do not have to worry about that anymore but I definitely looks for interactions with the kids that were there and how caregiver interacted with me but did not allow me to distract her from her duties as a caregiver to the other children. I too struggled but I did not realize I was struggling through the loving kindness exercise until I begin to write my post and also the subtle mind. I am beginning to realize how difficult or challenging it might be to allow the mind to relax.
    Nice post
